Well, I’m back after a lengthy hiatus. Mostly, my arm and back have been hurting if I spend too much time typing, so I’ve avoided it as much as possible. It’s getting better, though. Anyway, my Mom and Dad are coming for Thanksgiving!! And they’re probably the ones who’ll read this anyway so “Can’t wait to see you!”

We’ve been prepping the house for a while now. I made a medicine cabinet to replace the one in the guest bathroom. It was a nasty old contractor-grade one. I made the new one out of pine and wood filler. It’s painted white and has some nice trim around the edge to give it a nice finish.

We also bought a new dining room set. It’s very nice. Faith found it on craigslist and it didn’t cost very much at all for the quality we got. She also made a table runner for it. Aren’t we just the crafty couple.

Anyway, our pantry’s fully stocked, our house is nice and clean. Now, all we need is some guests and Thanksgiving vacation to arrive.

I just wanted to say a quick but heartfelt “Thank you!” to all the veterans who have sacrificed so much in securing the freedoms we enjoy in this great country. Thank you so much for being willing to lay your life on the line for your family, for your loved ones, for our freedoms, for the principles this country was founded upon, and for the continued security of the liberties we possess. Again, thank you for your service. May God richly bless you and your families. And God bless America!
