My new keyboard
I finally got a keyboard that’s comfortable to type on. Whenever I’ve had to do a lot of typing (starting this blog, for instance), after a few minutes of it, my wrists would start hurting like crazy. And I tend to pound the keys when I type so it gets pretty noisy. I’m sure I drove the guys around me crazy. Then, I had a light bulb moment. Why not look for a new keyboard, rather than continue to use the nasty old keyboard that came with your computer five years ago. There may have been some advancements since then. So, I started looking around. I went to Best Buy to see what they had in the store, and I found the old split keyboard that is super-ergonomic and wicked huge. I don’t know about you, but typing on that keyboard just doesn’t feel natural. Then, I found some Microsoft keyboards that put a slight curve on the keys so your elbows don’t have to be tucked into your chest while you type. I kept looking around and I finally found a cheap one at buy.com. $12! So, I ordered one and I am currently typing this post on it. As of yet, no discomfort to speak of. It’s nice to be able to type again without having to worry about the pain I know I’m going to be feeling. And it’s got this button above the numberpad that automatically pulls up the calculator on the screen. Now, that’s a great idea!
